It's so true. Just watch animals, children, or a memory of your 19-year-old self. I can hear Mariane Karou from Dance Alive in my head when I say this. This woman really knows how to move. And move through the worst times in her life, including the LA fires earlier this month that have destroyed many landscapes, including the Dance Alive home. She is the embodiment of resilience. And right now, as we splash into 2025 and wade the waters of the year ahead, resilience can be found through moving that which needs flow. Osteopathy is similar in that it promotes the natural flow and rhythm of bodily systems, enhancing vitality through principles grounded in anatomy and physiology, much like self-intentional movement does, which engages the body’s musculoskeletal system to facilitate optimal function and well-being. bla bla bla - you have got to move. sa cest vrai.
CHOOSE ACTION right now. We need to take action. I understand that the importance of rest and self-care has been a significant realization for many of us, including entrepreneurs and workerbees alike. It's not about choosing one over the other. We exist in a world where the pendulum swings and sometimes gets stuck, just like we do. We often find ourselves caught in endless Netflix marathons and repetitive discussions. While these activities have their place, they can also become quite stagnant. You need to move. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of shaking, swinging, swirling, jumping, and tapping—I could go on. Or you can join me. In every class I teach and every workshop I facilitate, I emphasize that movement is life, and life is precious.
On Friday, January 24th, the first women's circle of 2025 will be held. This is a remarkable, non-judgmental, and self-affirming gathering of women from all stages of life, united in sisterhood. Having never had a sister myself, I recognize that these women are making significant strides. I invite you to join me.
